Keisei Electric Railway and Shin Keisei Electric Railway will merge on April 1, and the current Shin Keisei Line will begin operations as the Keisei Electric Railway “Matsudo Line.
In conjunction with this, posters with the catchphrase “Hello! Matsudo Line” will be displayed in stations and trains of both companies from February 26 onward. From late March, posters will also be displayed at stations on the Hokuso Line and at transfer stations with the Shin Keisei Line, as well as in trains on the Hokuso Line, Joban Line, and Chiyoda Line to publicize the Matsudo Line.
The current Shin Keisei Line trains and station signboards will be gradually integrated into a new design based on Keisei colors from April 1 onward. Station numbering will be changed from Shin-Tsutanuma (KS66) to Matsudo (KS88), but station names will remain the same, with “up” for Matsudo and “down” for Keisei Tsutanuma. There will be no change in fares, charges, or timetables as a result of the merger.
Commuter passes in use and tickets issued before March 31 can continue to be used until their expiration date after the merger. In addition, as the Shin Keisei Line application service will be terminated after the merger, future operation information will be posted in the Keisei application as the Matsudo Line.
