Sumitomo Mitsui Card to offer up to 7% discount on smartphone touch-payment rides; Visa-only, through May 31.

Sumitomo Mitsui Card offers “Use Visa touch payment on your smartphone at eligible businesses! Up to 7% reduction campaign!” until May 31.

The program offers up to 7% V Points when you use your smartphone’s Visa touch payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay) to board eligible trains and buses. The maximum is 1000 points, and the 7% includes the regular redemption (0.5-1.0%).

Please note that the maximum 1.5% reduction will be applied to touch payments made with the physical card.
