Walt Disney Japan will open the “Disney Store Minamore Hiroshima” at the new Hiroshima Station Building “Minamore” (2-37 Matsubara-cho, Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture) on March 24. To coincide with the opening, the company announced that it will sell store-exclusive items and conduct a gift campaign.
The store will be the first of its kind to be designed in Japan based on the concept of “Disney’s Magical Dream World. A dynamic Mickey Mouse statue greets guests at the entrance. The interior of the store is designed to resemble a castle standing in a magical sunset sky.
The store will feature approximately 2,000 Disney and Pixar items and a large digital screen.
To commemorate the opening, the Minamore Hiroshima store will also offer limited-edition goods. The plush toy of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their original dazzling red baseball uniforms (3,800 yen) and the plush toy of Uru-Po-Chan (1,500 yen) are designed just for Hiroshima. Other items on sale include “eco-bags” (1,100 yen) and “cookie tins” (1,600 yen).
Purchases of 5,000 yen or more at the store will receive an “original tote bag” designed exclusively for the Minamore Hiroshima store. A store card exclusive to the store will also be distributed to those who wish to receive it. The campaign will begin on March 24 (and end as soon as all the cards are gone). A 5X point campaign for members of the Disney Store Club will also be held for three days from March 24 to 26.
