Fujikawaguchiko Announces Schedule of Spring/Summer Events, Including Hoto Making Experience and Cherry Blossom Lighting

The Fujikawaguchiko Town Tourism Federation in Yamanashi Prefecture will hold various events from March 22 through summer, including the “3rd Hoto Festival” and the “14th Fuji-Kawaguchiko Cherry Blossom Festival. The events are expected to revitalize the local community through the enjoyment of local cuisine and seasonal flowers in Yamanashi Prefecture.

The event will be held on March 22 at Kawaguchiko Yagisaki Park. Hours are from 10:00 to 16:00. The event will include a chance to try making hoto, a local dish of Yamanashi Prefecture, a drawing for the Fuji-Kawaguchiko round-the-lake stamp rally, a Tyrannosaurus race, and stage events. Admission is free, and a bowl of Hoto is 500 yen.

The event will be held from April 1 to 13, mainly in the north shore area of Kawaguchi Lake (along the lakeside of Kawaguchi Lake Round Hall). Hours are from 10:00 to 17:00. Fuji, the lake, and cherry blossoms, and a craft market will be held at the main site (near the Kawaguchiko Round Hall). Kawaguchiko Herb Festival (June 21-July 21, 2025)

The event will be held at Oishi Park and Yagisaki Park from June 21 to July 21. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of lavender blooming in Oishi Park and Mt. Admission is free.

Other events include the “Kai no Katsuyama Yabusame Festival,” a Shinto ritual of the Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine, at Shikkogo Park on April 29, and the “Kuradashi Wine Bar Kawaguchiko,” an event to compare Yamanashi wines at Oike Park from May 3 to 5.
