Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. (2-4-1 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is holding a “Scandinavian Exhibition” until March 10. The venue is the exhibition hall on the 8th floor of the main building. Hours are from 10:30 to 19:30 (closing at 18:00 on the last day).
A wide variety of stores will be open, including Scandinavian brand goods and fashion items of sophisticated design, delicious sweets and delis, and more. The shop offers an eco-bag (3,520 yen) commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Finnish-born novel “Moomin,” a sweet stand, tableware, waffle makers, and other items that allow visitors to experience Swedish snack time “fika” culture at home.
In the gourmet section, buy and eat Norwegian salmon soup (eat-in 2,500 yen), traditional dish meatball and potato mousse – with lingonberries (eat-in 2,500 yen), cinnamon rolls (take-out 500 yen per roll), cardamom rolls on demonstration (700 yen per roll), etc. You can experience the Scandinavian spring.
