Mie Prefecture and Pokémon Inc. held a donation ceremony on March 10, prior to the opening in July of a park designed with Mijumaru as playground equipment.
As part of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the prefecture and the company, the company will donate six pieces of playground equipment featuring Mijumaru, the “Mie Ouen Pokemon,” and peripheral facilities, which will be installed by the prefecture. The two locations are “Daisei Forest Park (Suzuka Youth Forest)” (Minamiyaguchi, Sumiyoshi-cho, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture) and “Toba Port Sadahama New Port Green Area (north side of Toba Marine Terminal)” (1 Toba, Toba City, Mie Prefecture).
The company also announced that it will donate “Poke-lids,” manhole covers with Pokemon such as Mijumaru on them, to seven cities and towns in the prefecture. With this donation, a total of 29 cities and towns in Mie Prefecture will have PokeLids installed.
