JR East Trading will release “Suica no Penguin Onigiri Tote” on March 14. The price is 2,310 yen.

This triangular onigiri-shaped tote bag is perfect for packing and carrying onigiri rice balls. The local design is based on rice from Niigata Prefecture, and features a cute expression of the Suica penguin eating rice with relish.

Functionality includes a snap-button handle for hanging from a handbag, a lid that opens wide for easy access to food and small items, and an inside pocket for storing sprinkles and hand towels. The inside is aluminum vapor deposited.

It is large enough to hold two triangular rice balls from a convenience store in the bag, 11.5 x 8 x 11.5 cm.

Handled at the museum store TRAINIART Railroad Museum Store (3-47 Taisei-cho, Omiya-ku, Saitama-shi, Saitama), TRAINIART TOKYO Grandsta Store (B1F in Tokyo Station ticket gates), and the online store TRAINIART JRE MALL Store.
