JICA President Akihiko Tanaka met with Baron Dibabesi Wanga, Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, at JICA Headquarters on March 10.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Tanaka expressed his pleasure at meeting Secretary General Wanga again for the first time since the 10th Pacific and Islands Summit (PALM 10) in 2024, thanked him for his visit to JICA, and expressed his desire to further strengthen the relationship between the two organizations based on the results of PALM 10.
In response, Director General Wanga thanked JICA for its cooperation with Pacific island countries and expressed his desire to continue to deepen cooperation between the two organizations.
In addition, the two sides exchanged views on the Pacific Resilience Facility and possible future cooperation and collaboration.
