The nine companies of the Grand Green Osaka developer JV, led by Mitsubishi Estate, will open the South Building (5-54 Ohuka-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) of the Umekita 2-phase development project “Grand Green Osaka” on March 21.
In conjunction with this, a large-scale food market “Time Out Market OSAKA” opened simultaneously on the first basement floor of the Park Tower in the South Building. The market will feature cuisine from Kansai’s top chefs and famous restaurants, cocktails by award-winning mixologists, and culture and entertainment by up-and-coming Osaka artists. The menu includes cuisine from Kansai’s top chefs and renowned restaurants, cocktails by award-winning mixologists, and culture and entertainment by up-and-coming artists from Osaka.
Visitors can enjoy an exchange experience through food, which is unique to Osaka, a city bustling with visitors from Japan and abroad.
Following the North Wing, which opened in September 2024 at the Grand Green Osaka Preliminary Town Opening, the new “South Wing” will consist of three buildings: Park Tower (3 basement floors to 39 above ground), Gate Tower (3 basement floors to 18 above ground), and South Tower (3 basement floors to 28 above ground). The lower floors will house a total of 55 commercial facilities, including fashion, lifestyle, restaurants, wellness, etc., and the towers can be accessed via connecting pathways.
Not only visitors to Osaka Station on vacation or business trips, but also business people in offices on the middle floors and hotel guests on the upper floors can eat or take out food here and enjoy gourmet food at their favorite places, such as Umekita Park in the center of the north-south district.
