Iwatani’s “Coffee Roaster “MY ROAST”” for Enjoying Authentic Roasting with a Cassette Kiln

Iwatani Corporation has launched the “Coffee Roaster “MY ROAST”, which allows users to easily enjoy roasting their own coffee beans, through Make. The general sales price is 55,000 yen, but the early bird discount of up to 23% off and the purchase of a set of cassette stove will make it more affordable. General sales will begin in July.

This is a coffee roaster developed jointly with Fuji Coffee Machine exclusively for Iwatani Cassette Foods. The main body uses a “double cylinder” designed by Fuji Royal. The coffee beans are roasted together with the hot air from the inside of the roaster instead of being directly exposed to the fire, which prevents burning and uneven roasting, and allows roasting that makes the most of the coffee beans’ individual characteristics despite its small size.

As a unique design that can be used safely on a cassette stove, a “base for goku” is provided to secure the roasting machine body, which weighs approximately 1.9 kg. This maintains the best distance between the flame and the main body, enabling roasting at a stable temperature.

In addition, the “insertion plate” that supports the main unit and the “grip” between the cylinder and the rotating handle make it easy to discharge coffee beans after roasting. A dedicated test spoon is also included to check the roasting status and aroma of the coffee beans, so that even first-time users can enjoy authentic roasting with only a cassette stove and this product.

The minimalist design based on silver and black tones can also be enjoyed as interior decoration. Details on how to use the product are also introduced on the official YouTube channel “Iwatani Marutto ch.
