Fixed-rate discount for motorcycles” on expressways on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will continue in FY2025; 37.5% discount for over 80 km

Posted on 2025-03-252025-04-24 by Editor in Chief

NEXCO East Japan, NEXCO Central Japan, NEXCO West Japan, and Miyagi Prefecture Road Public Corporation will offer a “fixed rate discount for motorcycles” for ETC motorcycles. The discount applies to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 5 to November 30 (until October 26 in Hokkaido).

The program offers a 37.5% discount for a single trip of more than 80 km on eligible expressway segments. The program has been implemented annually since 2022 to stimulate demand for weekend touring.

To receive the discount, you must register as a free member of “Hayatabi” and apply for the service in advance. Applications will be accepted from 2:00 p.m. on March 25.

The roads excluded from the discount are: Daisan Keihin Road, Yokohama New Road, Yokohama Yokosuka Road, Daini-Hanna Road, Daini-Shinmei Road, Kanmon Tunnel, Yagiyama Bypass, Okinawa Road, and Tokyo Bay Aqualine. However, only Tokyo Bay Aqualine is subject to mileage determination.

When connecting to an eligible road via a specific IC or a new direct-controlled section, the distance traveled on each eligible road is totaled as a single trip. If a holiday or late-night discount is also applicable, the discount with the lowest fare will be applied.
