G-Force has started pre-sales of its license-free gimbal-equipped drone “LEVIO” on Makuake. The project period is from March 26, 10:00 to May 6, 22:00.
The scheduled general sales price is 29,700 yen, with a 20% discount at 23,760 yen (super early bird discount) and a 15% discount at 25,245 yen (early bird discount). The Long Flight Set, which includes two additional batteries, is priced at 28,710 yen (25% off), compared to the general retail price of 38,280 yen. Both products will be available in limited quantities and will be shipped by the end of June.
LEVIO is an extension device that adds the fun of aerial photography to smartphone cameras. 95g in weight and not subject to aviation regulations, LEVIO does not require a license and can be carried anywhere and flown easily, taking advantage of its palm-sized light weight.
In addition to capturing high-altitude and true bird’s-eye view angles that are difficult to achieve with a smartphone, the camera is equipped with a high-precision sensor and a single gimbal, which enables blur-free video recording. The camera is said to smoothly catch moments of motion, capturing beautiful, cinematic images of running children, pets, or scenes from a trip. The camera supports 4K still images and Full HD 1080P video.
It also features intuitive operation that changes the camera angle with a single fingertip. The maximum tilt angle (vertical angle) of 120 degrees can be changed remotely from the included transmitter or the free dedicated app (Android/iOS version). The transmitter can switch between “Mode 1,” which is commonly used in Japanese radio-controlled models, and “Mode 2,” which is standard in drone operations. Using an app installed on a smartphone or tablet, users can also enjoy live broadcasts that project images in real time.
The propeller has a 60-degree full guard design to prevent damage to walls and furniture indoors. Easy to handle even when children or pets are nearby.
Two cartridge-type flight batteries that can be instantly replaced are also included, enabling approximately 20 minutes of continuous flight (approximately 10 minutes x 2).
