Business Objectives
This project aims to develop a training center, instrumentation center, and disaster awareness exhibition facility on the premises of the Fiji Meteorological Department as a core base for meteorological services in the Pacific Islands region, thereby improving meteorological services and strengthening early warning systems through the development of human resources in the meteorological field and enhancement of meteorological data quality control in the region, thereby contributing to the strengthening of disaster prevention and climate change measures in the region. The project will also contribute to the strengthening of disaster prevention and climate change countermeasures in the region by enhancing the early warning system through the development of human resources in the meteorological field and the enhancement of quality management of meteorological data.

(1) Description of facilities and equipment:
Facilities] Regional base facility (one two-story reinforced concrete building with a total floor area of approximately 1,700m2), ancillary facilities/equipment (wheelchair-accessible approach)
Equipment】Training and education equipment (screens, projectors, PCs, etc.), weather instrument calibration equipment, weather data management equipment (data storage, etc.), equipment for disaster awareness displays, etc.

No detailed design, procurement and construction supervision/software components.
