Skymark to Offer Free In-Flight Wi-Fi on 737-8/10 to be Introduced

Skymark Airlines announced that it will offer free in-flight Wi-Fi service on its Boeing 737-8 and 737-10 aircraft scheduled for introduction. Details of the service will be released in the future.

The company has signed a contract with Intelsat of the United States for a Wi-Fi system using an electronically scanned array (ESA) antenna, which will reduce operating costs by reducing the weight of the antenna. The company claims that the use of both low-orbit and geostationary satellites will enable faster and more stable Internet access than previously possible.
