Hoshino Resort will open Risonare Fukui (51-11 Terao, Muraoka-cho, Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture) in Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture, in the fall of 2027.

Risonare” is positioned as a resort hotel that offers experiences unique to the region and the season, and will be the brand’s first entry into the Hokuriku area and the first for Hoshino Resort in Fukui Prefecture. The hotel will be located in Tsuyama Dinosaur Forest (Mt. Nagao General Park), where the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, one of the world’s three major dinosaur museums, is located, and will be built to blend in with the natural environment of Mt.

The exterior of the building is cylindrical in shape, reminiscent of a pine cone, and blends in with the forests of Mount Nagao, where red pines grow in clusters. It will also be linked to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum and other various contents in the park.

In addition, through a public-private partnership project utilizing the Park-PFI scheme, the company will be involved in the operation and management of not only the hotel but also the park as a whole, aiming to improve the attractiveness of the park as a whole and create a lively atmosphere. In addition, as the first project under the “Agreement on the Development and Operation of a Resort Hotel” concluded with Fukui Prefecture in 2022, the company will promote the diverse and attractive tourist resources of Fukui Prefecture through the operation of Risonare Fukui.
