On April 13, the Osaka-Kansai Expo (EXPO 2025) will open in Yumeshima, Osaka. Here we report on scenes from the media day held prior to the opening of the Expo.

The Korea Pavilion is located in the corner of the “Connecting Zone” inside the large roof ring. The most eye-catching feature of the exterior is the super-sized media facade, which is 27 meters wide and 10 meters high. The giant LEDs on the facade project beautiful landscapes and traditional beauty of various regions of Korea, as well as the future society created by cutting-edge technology. It is recommended to view the images from the top of the large roof ring!

The Korea Pavilion will be developed in three exhibition zones under the theme of “With Hearts (Jinshim). Zone 1 is a unique and synaesthetic exhibition space where visitors’ recorded “voices” are turned into a single piece of music using AI technology.

Zone 2 is themed “Life Restored by Korean Technology” and introduces Korean hydrogen energy technology.

Zone 3 is where visitors sit and watch a large projector project “images of a world in 2040 in which grandfathers and granddaughters are connected by music,” although it was not possible to take pictures. The story of a granddaughter perfecting a song left behind by her grandfather is expressed through K-pop and dance.
