MUJI BASE TESHIMA II, MUJI’s lodging facility, opens, the second building on Teshima, Setouchi. Experience music and art in a renovated old private house.

MUJI BASE TESHIMA II (2556 Miyanonaka, Teshima Ieura, Toshima, Tonosho-cho, Shodo-gun, Kagawa Prefecture), an accommodation facility renovated from an old private house, will open on April 18.

This is the second “MUJI BASE” on Teshima, with a maximum capacity of 4 people. Rates start at 49,000 yen per night (for double occupancy; an additional cleaning fee of 15,000 yen is required). An additional cleaning fee of 15,000 yen is required). Reservations can be made via Airbnb for two nights or more.

MUJI BASE is a facility that allows visitors to experience local culture while living in harmony with nature as a base for community-based living, and MUJI BASE TESHIMA II utilizes a vacant house in the village of Inokujo, located on high ground on Teshima, and has been created as a clean space while retaining the traditional elements of Japanese-style rooms.

The interior design was created by IDÉE, the company’s interior design brand. In collaboration with JVC KENWOOD, speakers made from scrap wood and infused with the resonance of wood were installed.
