On March 26, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the West African Development Bank (“BOAD”), a development finance institution in the West African region, and held a signing ceremony on May 15, 2025 in Lome, the capital of the Republic of Togo.
The project will be co-financed with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and will be implemented based on the Sustainable Finance Framework with SMBC.
