JR East will add Green Car, Grand Class, and Premium Green tickets to its “Shinkansen e-Ticket (JRE POINT Privilege)” and “Conventional Train Ticketless Express Ticket (JRE POINT Privilege)”. The new tickets will be available from July 5, and reservations can be made from June 5.
For example, the number of exchange points for Tokyo – Karuizawa (one way) is 6,890 points for Green Car and 10,40 points for Grand Class (without beverage and snack).
In addition, for a limited time only, a special program will be offered that allows passengers to board the Green Car and Grand Class (without beverages and snacks) at a 50% discount of the regular redemption point number. The offer is valid for rides between July 5 and 31. For the Tokyo-Karuizawa route, the number of redemption points will be 3,440 for the Green Car and 5,020 for Grand Class (without beverages and snacks).
Shinkansen e-Ticket (JRE POINT privilege) is a product that includes a boarding ticket and an express ticket, and the point redemption period is from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date to 4 minutes prior to the departure time of the train on the same day and until 23:24. Ticketless limited express tickets for conventional lines (JRE POINT benefit) are limited express tickets only (a separate ticket is required), and points can be redeemed from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date to the departure time of the train on the same day and until 11:50 p.m.
