Keihin Electric Express Railway and Toyota Motor Corporation will begin construction of the “Shinagawa Station West Exit Area A New Construction Project (tentative name)” on May 31. Prior to this, a groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 23.

District A (Lots 1 and 2, 3-417-31 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is the “Keikyu Shinagawa Development Project” where Toyota Motor Corporation’s new Tokyo headquarters is scheduled to open in 2029. The building will have 29 floors above ground and 4 basement levels, with a building height of 152 meters.

It will house offices (7-11F), one of the largest floor areas in Japan, and conferences (5-6F), one of the largest in central Tokyo, as well as a multi-purpose hall on the basement 1-2F, commercial facilities on the basement 1-4F, and a hotel on the 23-29F.

The outdoor area around the building will include benches surrounded by lush greenery, a pedestrian space with cherry blossoms and stone walls, and a plaza that can host large-scale events.
