Commemorative medal engraved with Myakmyak from Expo ’70 Osaka/Kansai goes on sale; 5-oz. gold medal costs 5 million yen

On May 26, Coin Palace released a commemorative medal engraved with Myakmyak, the official character of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

There are four types of medals: a 1 oz. silver medal, a 5 oz. silver medal, a 1 oz. gold medal, and a 5 oz. gold medal, with the Expo logo on the front and a design symbolizing Myakmyak and the Kansai region on the back.

Priced at 19,800 yen for the 1 oz silver medal, 159,800 yen for the 5 oz silver medal, 798,000 yen for the 1 oz gold medal, and 5 million yen for the 5 oz gold medal, the medals are available on the official Coin Palace website.
