The Kameoka Peace Festival Hozugawa Citizens’ Fireworks Festival Executive Committee will hold the “Kyoto-Hozugawa Fireworks Festival 2025,” commemorating the 70th anniversary of the city’s establishment, on August 11.

The Kyoto Hozugawa Fireworks Festival will be held on a larger scale to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Kameoka City’s incorporation. The event will be held on the banks of the Hozu River near Kameoka Station, and is scheduled to shoot off approximately 13,000 fireworks, the largest number in the event’s history. A drone show with approximately 500 aircraft will also be held.

In order to enjoy the fireworks safely and comfortably, we strongly request all visitors except those with tickets for the paid viewing area (approximately 28,000 seats) not to come to the venue or the surrounding area. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are currently on sale as a gift in return for tax payments to Kameoka City. Tickets will be sold to Kameoka citizens in advance on June 1, and to the general public on July 1. Same-day tickets will not be available.
