In response to international trends toward the elimination of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) in the development sector, as well as the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s guidelines on sexual harassment and power harassment, JICA is committed to eliminating various forms of harassment in JICA projects.
Unfortunately, however, some cases of harassment in JICA projects have occurred in which we have been consulted.
We have prepared a document explaining the definition of harassment in JICA and points to keep in mind based on the characteristics of JICA’s projects, and indicating what we expect you to observe.
We would appreciate it if you could read this information to all concerned.
