Japan Entertainment Inc. has opened a portion of the interior of Jungleia Okinawa (553-1, Kuregayama, Nakijin-mura, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa Prefecture), which will open on July 25, to the public in advance.
The park’s symbolic “Jungleia Tree,” created from trees in Okinawa Prefecture, the “Spa Jungleia,” one of the world’s largest infinity baths, and the “Tropical Oasis,” a restaurant attached to the spa and featuring cuisine made from Okinawan ingredients, were all unveiled to the public.
The jungle tree is 14.5 meters long and 12 meters in diameter, and will be planted with about 10 kinds of trees representative of Okinawa, including the banyan tree, which is called “the tree where spirits dwell,” and the deigo, the prefectural flower.
Spa Jungleia offers a wide variety of tropical resort-style relaxation facilities, including an infinity bath with a spectacular view that allows guests to feel at one with nature, a limestone bath, a large outdoor bath, a water bath, a steam bath, and a sauna.
Tropical Oasis is located on the ground floor of the spa and offers a panoramic view of the mountains while dining (64 seats in total). The menu includes bite-sized “SPA Tapas” (2,200 yen) to enjoy Okinawan ingredients, “Chilled Pasta – Tuna, Mozuku and Seekwasa” (1,700 yen), which uses plenty of Okinawan tuna and mozuku seaweed, “Hibiscus Flower Cocktail” (2,000 yen), which spreads the aroma of flowers, and “Brown Sugar Mojito” (1,600 yen) served with rising smoke. The “Brown Sugar Mojito” (1,600 yen) is served with rising smoke.
Jungleia Okinawa is located in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, home to the World Natural Heritage site of Yanbaru. On the expansive grounds, 22 attractions will be open, including “Dinosaur Safari,” where visitors can venture deep into the jungle in a large off-road vehicle and confront giant dinosaurs that are closing in on them.
