The Metropolitan Expressway announced its traffic congestion forecast for August. Due to the concentration of business traffic, traffic congestion is expected to be heavy on weekdays from the beginning of the month to the 8th. In particular, congestion is expected to peak on the 7th and 8th before the Bon Festival.
Although traffic tends to be less congested during the Bon Festival, localized congestion is expected to occur on some sections, such as exits around tourist attractions, mainly during the first half of the Bon Festival (9th – 12th). In particular, traffic congestion is expected to begin earlier than usual on the Wangan Line near the Kasai Exit and the Yokohane Line near the Minatomirai Exit in the direction of the Tokyo Bay Aqualine.
During busy periods, we encourage people to change the day, time, or route of their visit or to take an early restroom break.
