Japan Airport Building Co. will renovate the food court on the basement floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 1 as a new food zone, “Sora Chika,” opening on September 10.
In the “food court area” with approximately 200 seats and approximately 1,000 m2, 11 out of a total of 12 restaurants and businesses are opening for the first time in Haneda. These include “廚urogi Jun-chan,” a tonkatsu specialty restaurant supervised by Jun Kuroki of the famous restaurant “Kurogi,” where reservations cannot be taken, “Kaisendon Ginza Onodera Haneda Airport Terminal 1,” a seafood rice bowl specialty restaurant newly opened by Ginza Onodera, which is listed in the Michelin Guide, and the first store in the Kanto area to open a long-established gelato shop in Florence, Italy. The lineup includes a wide range of genres, such as Badiani, a gelato store in Florence, Italy, which is opening its first store in the Kanto region.
The restaurant also focuses on space creation, including the introduction of mobile ordering, which allows customers to order at their seats, a spacious interior that is comfortable even for people with strollers or suitcases, and lighting that matches the time of day/night hours.
In the “restaurant area” adjacent to the food court, a new Thai restaurant, Krung Siam, will open for the first time in addition to the two existing restaurants.
