ANA X and JR Hokkaido have launched the “Dao Special Free Pass” as an ANA Traveler’s Dynamic Package Option Plan, which offers the Dao Free Pass at a lower price than usual. The period of use is from October 1 to December 31, and reservations can be made from August 7 to seven days prior to the start of travel.
This product allows visitors to use the “Douou Free Pass” for unlimited travel on limited express and local trains (including rapid trains) on conventional JR lines for 4,000 yen less than usual when purchased in combination with an ANA Dynamic Package (round-trip airfare and accommodations). For example, a 2-day pass is normally priced at 12,000 yen for adults and 6,100 yen for children, but if purchased in combination with a Dynamic Package, the price is 8,100 yen for adults and 4,100 yen for children. The period of use can be selected from 2-day, 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day passes.
This product is limited to passengers who take flights departing from airports outside Hokkaido, and the free pass must be exchanged at the New Chitose Airport Station Tour Counter.
The unlimited-ride area covers major tourist destinations such as Sapporo, Otaru, Asahikawa, and Obihiro, and can also be used during the autumn foliage season in Niseko and the Daisetsuzan mountain range.
