The second batch of lacquered “Pokemon” bowls includes a small bowl for Achamo and a soup bowl for Pikachu. Yamada Heiando’s craftsmen express their art in “maki-e” technique.

Yamada Heiando, a lacquerware specialty store, released the “Pokemon Zodiac Bowl” (Achamo) and “Pokemon Soup Bowl” (Pikachu), natural wood lacquered bowls as the second Pokemon collaboration.

In response to the response to the “Pokemon Zodiac Bowls” (Pikachu, Kaillu, and Arvo), which have been on sale since January 2025, the company has now added Achamo to its product lineup. Pikachu is also available in the “Pokémon soup bowls,” which are lacquered bowls painted using the traditional maki-e technique.

The natural wood has high heat insulation properties, so it does not get hot even when serving hot miso soup, making it safe for children.

The “Pokemon Zodiac Bowls” come in four types (Pikachu, Kaillu, Arvo, and Achamo) and each comes with a baby spoon (a natural wood lacquered spoon that is soft on the mouth) for 17,600 yen each. Each measures 10 cm in diameter and 6.3 cm in height, and comes in two colors: black and vermilion. Other Pokémon products are scheduled to follow in the near future.

Pokemon soup bowls in one type (Pikachu) are priced at 24,200 yen. The bowls measure 11 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height, and come in two colors: black and vermilion.

Both can be optionally personalized with names (up to 6 characters) using the traditional “maki-e” technique.
