The Japan International Expo 2025 provides information about rest and water stations at the Expo site on the Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai official app/website, Expo 2025 Visitors.
There are a wide variety of rest areas within the festival site, including places where cool-looking mist is sprayed and spots where visitors can take a breather indoors to avoid the sun. In addition, the “group rest area” (bento square) for students on excursions and school trips, and the rest area in the west area facing Osaka Bay are open to all after 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends and holidays.
If you want to find a nearby rest area, go to “Venue Map” in the official app and apply the filter “Rest Area/Water Station”. A green icon will appear on the map to confirm the location.
To prevent heat stroke, be sure to drink water frequently. There are a number of water bottles and water machines available at the venue, all of which can be used free of charge.
At the time of the reporter’s visit in July, there was always a wait for a turn at all of the facilities on the ground level, but the facilities on the large roof ring were relatively uncrowded and the wait tended to be shorter.
Vending machines, on the other hand, are more numerous and can be purchased almost without standing in line. Water supply spots and vending machines, as well as rest areas, can be searched for on the official app, and a PDF map is also available on the official “This Week at the Expo” website.
The official blog also introduces various other measures against heat, such as items that are convenient to have (heat-protection goods), special rest areas, and parasol rentals, so be sure to check them out before coming to the show.
