KITAURA LAKESIDE RV PARK – A clean, high-standard RV park in Ibaraki’s Kitaura area. I stayed at a clean, high-standard RV park in Kitaura, Ibaraki KITAURA LAKESIDE RV PARK

I stayed one night. As usual, I stayed one night. From Tokyo, I took the Higashi-Kanto Expressway to the Ushioji Interchange, the last stop on the highway, and drove for about 30 minutes. There are many convenience stores along the way, but there are no supermarkets along the road where you can buy groceries, so I just drove on to the nearest one. I searched for facilities with my car navigation system and found several within a 10-minute drive, but the one I visited was smaller than expected and did not have a large selection of goods. If you want to cook well on site, it would be better to check the location of a large supermarket in advance. The front of the site (gate side) faces west, so in the afternoon the sun comes from the west, but it was comfortable because there is an awning, the temperature is not as high as in Tokyo, and there is a nice breeze. It is nice to have a table in the open outdoors, but it is even better to have a “roof over your head” so that you feel safe and secure. I was especially comfortable at night when the temperature dropped and I felt cooler, so this time I stayed under the roof space until just before going to bed. The area around the facility is not well lit, so if the sky is clear, many stars can be seen. On the day of our visit, clouds were constantly rolling in due to a typhoon, but when we took pictures, we were able to capture many stars. I was able to relax and enjoy the starry sky while sitting in a chair in the cool environment, which is a recommended way to spend time if you want to relax. However, there are few private residences around the facility, and the road in front of the facility is much less busy at night, and there do not seem to be many people using the convenience store. Therefore, we did not feel any discomfort from the noise. In the morning, there was a time when a truck came into the parking lot of the convenience store, but I immediately went back to sleep. As I mentioned earlier, there are few insects in this facility, despite the fact that there are many lakes and rice paddies around it. In summer, I bring a blue insecticide light with me to prevent insects from coming to the LED lights, but there were almost no insects in the LED lights either. There were no mosquitoes at all, and I did not have to use any insecticide.
