The Japan Association for the International Exposition, 2025, will hold “JR West Japan Group presents Thank You and Departure Festival – THANK YOU for ALL” on October 13 as the final event of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

The stage event will be held at the EXPO Arena “Matsuri” from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Part 1 will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Part 2 from 5:35 p.m. to 6:35 p.m., and Part 3 from 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., each with different content.

In the first part of the festival, a booth will be set up for visitors to enjoy Japanese sake from all over the country as part of the “Omotenashi (hospitality) through beautiful Japanese culture and traditions. The “Matsuri” festival from Japan and abroad that was previously performed will make a reappearance, and a “Flag Ceremony” will be held by the Expo’s foreign staff.

The second part will be “Expo Thanks LIVE,” featuring performances of songs to say “Thank you” by artists who have been involved in the Expo. Performers will be announced at a later date.

The third part is “The ‘Departure’ Stage,” which recounts the history of the Expo from its attraction to the present with video footage. Piano performance and chorus will also provide the finale.

The company will announce in late September whether or not advance reservations will be required for viewing the event, but for the second and third sessions, a “priority viewing area” will be set up at the front of the venue for the exclusive use of priority ticket holders.

The tickets will be distributed to 400 pairs of 800 people with a pair of tickets to the Expo through a drawing exclusively for WESTER members of JR West. Applications will be accepted until September 23, and can be entered by simply logging in to the campaign site with a WESTER ID. If you download the Wesmo! application and register as a Wesmo! member with the WESTER ID you used to enter, you will double your chances of winning.
