The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) for the “Dairy Sector Productivity Improvement Project” in Tokyo on September 30 in the presence of Mr. Anura Kumar Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and JICA President Akihiko Tanaka. The agreement was signed in the presence of President Kumara Dissanayake and JICA President Akihiko Tanaka.

Business Objectives
This project aims to improve milk productivity in the target areas by improving livestock disease management capacity, promoting dairy cattle breeding, and improving feed production capacity in Kandy, Northern, Eastern, North Central, and North Western Provinces of the Central Province, thereby contributing to inclusive economic development through improving the livelihood of small-scale dairy farmers in the country. This will contribute to inclusive economic development by improving the livelihoods of small-scale dairy farmers in the country.
