GENSEN HOLDINGS will reopen “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Iwate Hanamaki” (former Watari Onsen Hotel Satsuki and Villa Kaede) on December 19. Prior to the reopening, hotel reservations began on October 1.
The “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Series” is an upgraded version of Oedo Onsen Monogatari, featuring a premium lounge where alcohol and soft drinks can be freely enjoyed at any time, and a sumptuous gourmet buffet breakfast and dinner.
Iwate Hanamaki (21-8 Sano, Yuguchi, Hanamaki-shi, Iwate Prefecture) is located in Hanamaki Onsen-kyo, less than two hours from Sendai, and about 20 minutes by car from JR Hanamaki Station and the Hanamaki Minami Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. This is the first time Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group has opened a restaurant in Iwate Prefecture.
The lobby and premium lounge, themed on the magnificent nature and culture of Hanamaki, Iwate, offer a variety of seating options, from comfortable seats for a single person to sofas for groups. The gentle flames of the fireplace will soothe you as you enjoy a special moment.
The lounge also has a beverage counter that can be used as often as you like during your stay. Coffee and soft drinks as well as beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages will be served free of charge.
Two types of guest rooms, a guest room with an open-air bath and a Japanese-style bed room, will be newly established. In addition, the hotel offers a wide variety of room types, including Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and Japanese/Western-style rooms.
The facility will also feature a new “infinity hot spring” that will give visitors a floating sensation as if they were floating above the canyon.
The restaurant has been transformed into a space that evokes the “colors of the four seasons” with a live kitchen, and offers a wide variety of menu items that are popular among all ages, including roast pork made from local pork produced in Hanamaki City, Morioka’s classic soul food, Morioka cold noodles, and other local gourmet items, as well as standard dishes, seasonal dishes, and desserts such as Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
