Osaka Prefectural Police and Kyoto Prefectural Police will impose temporary traffic restrictions on October 6 in conjunction with Expo ’70 Osaka-Kansai related events and the “International Forum on Science, Technology and the Future of Humanity” (STS Forum).

The expressway covers the Daini-Keihan Road, Kinki Expressway, Hanshin Expressway Route 13 Higashi-Osaka Line, Route 1 Loop Line, Route 16 Osaka Port Line, Route 5 Wangan Line, Route 3 Kobe Line, and Route 11 Ikeda Line. During the restricted hours, PAs on the section will not be able to enter the main expressway line.

The Japan Association for the International Exposition, 2025, also urges visitors to “be aware that depending on the traffic restrictions, it may take longer than expected to arrive at or return home from the Expo site,” as stated on its official website. If you plan to visit the Expo, please be aware of this.

Traffic regulations will also be enforced on October 4-5 in Kyoto Prefecture. For more details, please check the official websites of Osaka Prefectural Police and Kyoto Prefectural Police.
