JR announces details of various discounts after round-trip and consecutive tickets are sold at the end of the day. Zipangu and student discount tickets can be purchased up to two one-way tickets with one discount coupon.

JR Group announced March 13 as the scheduled end date for the sale of round-trip and consecutive train tickets in March 2026, and also disclosed the handling of various discounts.

Round-trip/consecutive tickets purchased by March 13th can be used until the end of the validity period, and tickets changed after March 14th will also be treated as round-trip/consecutive tickets (limited to once).

As for the ZIPANGU Club and student discounts, up to two discounted regular tickets can be purchased at the same time with a single discount coupon starting March 14. As already announced, the discount condition for the ZIPANGU Club has also been revised from “one-way, round-trip, or consecutive trips of 201 km or more” to “one-way of 101 km or more”.

On the other hand, the round-trip discount applicable to round-trip tickets with a one-way operating kilometer of 601 kilometers or more will be discontinued.
