The fare will be revised on March 14, 2026, and all tickets to be sold on or after that date will be based on the new fare. Tickets sold before March 13 will be calculated at the pre-revision fare, even if the effective start date is after the revision, so there is no need to pay the difference when using the ticket. If a ticket is changed after the fare revision, regardless of whether it is before or after the start of use, the fare will be calculated at the pre-revision fare if the original ticket was purchased before the revision. In the case of tickets purchased through Ekinet, the date of payment is treated as the date of purchase.

Tickets that cross over to other JR companies The same “total addition method” that is currently used for tickets that cross over to JR Hokkaido, JR Shikoku, and JR Kyushu will be introduced. The amount to be sold will be the base amount for the operating kilometer of the entire route (corresponding to the fares of JR Tokai and JR West), plus an additional amount for the operating kilometer of the JR East route from the border station.
