Details of implementation
JICA supported several pavilions in the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The Egyptian Pavilion at the Expo, which was the target of JICA’s support, introduced the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) (scheduled to officially open on November 1, 2025), for which JICA is providing comprehensive support. Based on this, a seminar was held on September 22, 2025 within the Osaka-Kansai Expo, where the speakers, who had been dispatched to the site, introduced “very special” stories from the GEM. Through valuable episodes based on the speakers’ experiences and behind-the-scenes stories, participants had an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the appeal of GEM and Egyptian culture and history.
