The JR Mine Line Usage Promotion Council, in cooperation with Nagato Yumoto Onsen Town, the Yamaguchi Branch of Nippon Travel Agency, and JR West, will offer a special train tour, Nagato Yumoto Onsen Utaakari-go, in conjunction with the winter lighting event “Onshin River Utaakari 2023.
The “XX no Hanashi” sightseeing train (two Series 47 cars), which normally runs on the San’in Line, will be specially operated on the Mine Line as the “Nagato Yumoto Onsen Utaakari-go”. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to experience the hospitality that can only be found along the Mine Line and the charms of Senzaki, the hometown of Nagato City-born children’s song poet Misuzu Kaneko. Participants will also receive gifts such as sweets and bath salts made from local specialties.
