Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple (1 Narita, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture) has launched a special website for the first visit of 2023.
Naritasan traditionally holds New Year’s decorations, kadomatsu decorating the halls, and New Year’s prayers until January 28th, the first day of the year on which Fudo is celebrated, and thus offers “Hatsumode throughout January.
The temple grounds are open all year round regardless of the year-end and New Year holidays, but the opening and closing times of each hall vary according to the time of the hourly Gomama prayer in the Main Hall. Please note that admission may be restricted on New Year’s Eve and Sangatsu (New Year’s Eve).
Traffic regulations will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. on December 31st to January 31st, mainly along Omotesando Avenue. For details, the Narita City Tourist Association has published a traffic regulation map and a guide map of nearby parking lots on its official website “FEEL Narita”.
