Osaka Prefecture will resume national travel support on January 10.
Osaka Prefecture has named its nationwide travel assistance “Osaka Welcome Campaign 2022” and the period is from January 10 to March 30 (including check-out on March 31). The campaign will subsidize 20% of the cost of a trip to Osaka (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products that include transportation, and up to 3,000 yen for other travel products) and provide electronic coupons (2,000 yen on weekdays/1,000 yen on holidays) that can be used to purchase souvenirs and other items. Note that the end date of the program is March 30, not March 31, as is the case in other prefectures.
Eligible applicants must be travelers residing in Japan and have received three doses of the novel corona vaccine or be able to present a negative certificate such as PCR test.
The website allows users to search for eligible travel agencies, lodging businesses, and coupon merchants.
