Rakuten Travel, Inc. has begun accepting reservations for plans (domestic lodging and tours) for its nationwide travel support program, which will begin on January 10, starting with regions that are ready to accept reservations. The nationwide travel support program at the beginning of the year will subsidize a flat rate of 20% of the travel price (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products that include transportation, and up to 3,000 yen per night for other travel products) and provide electronic coupons (2,000 yen per night for weekdays and 1,000 yen per night for holidays) that can be used to purchase souvenirs, etc. The program will end as soon as the budget limit allocated for each prefecture is reached. In addition to the above, Rakuten Travel also offers a “10% off lodging coupon” that can be obtained on the official website and a “5% off coupon” only on the days of 5 and 0 every month, for a total savings of up to 35%.
