On January 23, Anchor Japan began installing smartphone charging cables in Nippon Kotsu and other cab fleets. The company will start with approximately 500 vehicles and expand to approximately 4,000 vehicles by around March. The target vehicles include Toyota’s JPN TAXI.
The cable to be installed is the Anker PowerLine II 3-in-1 cable (cable length 0.9m), a highly durable model that has passed a bending test of approximately 12,000 times, with three connectors to choose from: Lightning, USB Type-C, and Micro USB.
