JAL, in partnership with Fujiland, will begin operating SORAKARA OTODOKE, an antenna store that delivers seasonal foods from all over Japan via high-speed fresh transportation. The first of these stores will be located on the second basement floor of the Plaza Building in the Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro (1-1-25 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) from January 25 to the end of February.
The core concept for the first edition is “winter sweets. More than 40 kinds of seasonal sweets from 12 prefectures served by JAL will be available, including “Yubeni” strawberries picked in the morning in Kumamoto and “Miyakojima melon” available only until the end of January. Also, from mid-February, under the core concept of “Zenkoku Nabe no Jin,” seafood and vegetables from various regions of Japan will be available for sale that go well with nabe in the cold season.
SORAKARA OTODOKE” is not limited to this partnership, but will also be developed as a brand for JAL Group’s direct sales at events, etc. Details after March will be announced on JAL’s official Twitter account (@JALs_now) as soon as they are determined.
