Fujikawaguchiko Town is offering its own travel support program, “Fujikawaguchiko Hospitality Discount,” until February 27 (including check-out on February 28).
This campaign is an initiative that the town has been implementing since last December with the aim of recovering tourism demand that has declined due to the impact of the new coronavirus and to revitalize the local economy.
For trips of 8,000 yen or more per person per night, a 4,000 yen subsidy (3,000 yen off lodging plus 1,000 yen in gift certificates) will be provided, and for trips of 20,000 yen or more per person per night, a 7,000 yen subsidy (5,000 yen off lodging plus 2,000 yen in gift certificates) will be provided. There is no distinction between weekdays and holidays, and each trip will be subsidized up to 15,000 yen for lodging and 6,000 yen in gift certificates that can be used to purchase souvenirs or to eat and drink.
Reservations can be made through participating OTAs (Rakuten Travel, Jalan, and Rurubu Travel). The offer cannot be used in conjunction with Yamanashi Prefecture’s nationwide travel support program “Yamanashi Green Zone Tabiwari 2023”.
