The Kiso Ontake Tourist Bureau will offer a compact one-day tour to enjoy a local trip in Kiso, Nagano Prefecture.
The period is from May 3 to November 6, with prices starting at 32,000 yen for adults.
The Kiso area, with its historic inn towns, rivers, forests, and mountains including Mt. Ontake, is known as a place to enjoy winter sports in winter and summer retreats and activities in summer. In this tour, you can experience the rich nature of Mt. Ontake, Otaki Village, the old Jizo Pass, and Kaida Kogen Plateau, mainly along the Nakasendo Road, and enjoy local foods and other experiences that will make you feel as if you were living in Kiso.
There are three courses: “Village and Food Tour” (Fukushimajuku, Kiso Town – Cliff House Building – Old Jizo Pass – Kaida Kogen Plateau), “Forest and Water” (Mt. Ontake – Ontake Shrine and Kiyotaki, Kiso Town and Otaki Village), and “KISO Culture and Naraijuku” (Old Nakasendo – Yabuharajuku – Old Torii Pass – Naraijuku).
