On November 14, 2022, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the government of the Republic of Paraguay in Asunción, the capital of the country, for a grant of up to 1,936 million yen for the “Water Supply System Improvement Project in the City of Villas Ages. The agreement is for a grant of up to 1,936 million yen for “Water Supply System Improvement Project in Villa Ages.
This project aims to stabilize the water supply and improve the living environment of the citizens of Villajez City, located approximately 30 km northwest of Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, and has a population of approximately 50 million people. This project aims to stabilize the water supply in the city and improve the living environment of its citizens. Through this project, we will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 6 (provide safe water and toilets around the world) and Goal 13 (take concrete measures against climate change).
