HIS-operated Henna Hotel Sendai Kokubuncho (4-2-12 Ichibancho, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) has launched the “Henna Marine Room” accommodation plan, a concept room in collaboration with Sendai Uminomori Aquarium.
Henna Hotel Sendai Kokubuncho offers various concept rooms, such as dinosaur rooms decorated with dinosaurs and cycle rooms where guests can bring their bicycles to their rooms. This time, as a special project for the spring vacation family travel season, the hotel collaborated with Sendai Uminomori Aquarium (4-6 Nakano, Miyagino-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture), one of the largest aquariums in Tohoku.
The wallpaper and beds are designed with sea creatures in the image of the large tank “Inochi Kirakumeku Umi,” and there are also “A Little Weird! The “Ecological Explanation of Strange Creatures” panel and related books supervised by the zookeepers have been installed. Visitors can enjoy and learn while staying at the aquarium.
The room also comes with an “Annual Passport” that allows the guest to visit the Sendai Uminomori Aquarium as many times as they wish during the year, and an original aquarium notebook. Prices start at 20,000 yen per night for two people with no meals, and 22,600 yen with breakfast. Both rooms are twin rooms with two beds.
