Dispatch of International Emergency Relief Teams and Rescue Teams to Earthquake Damage in the Republic of Turkey
Based on a request from the Government of the Republic of Turkey to the Government of Japan, JICA will dispatch the second contingent of the International Disaster Relief Team and Rescue Team to the severe earthquake damage in Kahramanmaraş, southeastern Turkey.

Departure of International Emergency Relief Teams and Rescue Teams
The first group of rescue team members departed from Haneda Airport on Monday, February 6, and the second group will gather at Haneda Airport today, Tuesday, February 7, for the Republic of Turkey.
A Turkish aircraft carrying the second rescue team and equipment for search and rescue operations will depart Japan at 10:50 p.m. on February 7, and is scheduled to arrive at Istanbul Airport in the affected country at 12:25 noon on February 8 (Wednesday), Japan time (6:25 a.m. local time).
