Kumamoto Prefecture and CyberAgent will distribute a PR video “Kumamon, back home,” produced in cooperation with the Digital Government Promotion Office, an organization dedicated to supporting DX promotion by public offices and local governments. produced in collaboration with the Digital Government Promotion Office, an organization dedicated to supporting the promotion of DX in public offices and local governments.

Kumamoto Prefecture has been working on reconstruction from two major disasters, the 2008 Kumamoto Earthquake and the torrential rainfall in July 2020, and aims to convey the charm of the new Kumamoto, which is about to be reborn. In the video, countless Kumamons pop out from goods and posters all over the country and return home at once. The reason for this was a “call to action” from Kumamon, the Kumamoto Prefecture Sales Manager and Director of Happiness Department. In response to Kumamon’s wish to “make Kumamoto more exciting and to make Kumamoto a prefecture where everyone gathers,” the Kumamons gather at attractive spots in Kumamoto Prefecture, including nature, food, and tourist attractions.

In the video, elaborate CG Kumamon, recreated using 3D scanning, motion capture, and other CG technologies, plays a major role. The video consists of seven episodes, and will be available on a special website, YouTube, and TikTok from February 8 to early April.
