The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has begun accepting applications for the “Transportation and Tourism Coordinated Project (revitalization and high value-adding of tourist attractions and tourism industry in the region as a whole)” plan. The application period is from February 13 to March 31 at 17:00.
The project supports efforts by transportation operators to strengthen their brand power as a tourist destination by tying up with local tourism-related parties, while at the same time implementing tourist events, attracting visitors to tourist attractions, and improving the touring experience within the region.
In light of the challenges of the old-style tourism industry and the diversification of post-corona needs, the program will support tourism and lodging facilities that are expected to increase the number of visitors and improve profitability, as the realization of “high value-added and sustainable tourism region development” is required in the future.
In conjunction with this, project briefing sessions on the public call for applications will be held on February 15 and 22 via ZOOM. You can participate by submitting an application through the dedicated form on the official portal site by 12:00 p.m. on those days.
